Abbaye bénédictine,fondée à la fin du 8ème siècle, par Roger, comte de Limoges qui a compté jusqu'à 213 filiations. Il ne reste que la tour-lanterne du XIème siècle, dite tour Charlemagne, centre de la rotonde de l'église abbatiale.
