Place : Abbaye de Pontigny, Pontigny
Abbaye cistercienne fondée en 1114, deuxième fondation de Cîteaux, sous l'impulsion de Bernard de Clairvaux. Elle essaima 19 abbayes filles. A la révolution de 1789, l'abbatiale devint église paroissiale et la plus grande partie des bâtiments conventuels fut détruite. L'abbatiale fut respectée en raison du culte très vivace de Saint Edme.
